Knowing how long a filled 50L water bucket will last is essential for proper plant care. Keep in mind that actual duration may vary based on the type of plants and their growth stages. Here’s a general guideline for our self-watering system:
2-Pot Setup:
A full 50L bucket typically lasts about 3 weeks for two self-watering fabric pots, providing consistent moisture for healthy growth.
4-Pot Setup:
In a four-pot configuration, the same 50L reservoir will last around 3 weeks. This is great for ensuring multiple plants receive adequate hydration while reducing maintenance.
Note:
Different plants have different water needs. Monitor them regularly to adjust for optimal moisture levels.

Very nice system, I just started using it. The pots (I use 7-gallon pots, not the 5-gallon pots that come with the system) easily suck the water via the wicks all the way up to the top of the pots.
Set and forget…for a little while at least 🙂
I placed 4 plants on the stand that were not doing that great. Droopy leaves and me not knowing if it needed water or not. So when I got the product I took a 50L folding bucket and filled it with about 40L or so of water, and placed the plants in the bags directly into the water to wet the bottom of the bags, real good and let it soak in the water for about a minute or 2,then after putting the rope in the bases, I misted the top of the bases and misted the rope,so everything was wet and then placed the bags onto the base and within 24 hours my plants did a complete turn around,and perked up and looked very happy.
These bases are deep, strong, and sturdy—perfectly sized for my large bag plants. Unlike flimsy clear plastic alternatives, these bases are designed to last for years.
